Grassmarket Community Project
Hi, my name is Richard and I'm 12 years old and I am running the junior 5k in the Edinburgh Marathon Festival on 24th May 2025 to help raise funds for the Grassmarket Community Project.
The Grassmarket Community Project, provides support and sanctuary to many of Edinburgh's most marginalised and vulnerable citizens. Through mentoring, social enterprise, training and education, they enable people to develop their potential and move away from cycles of failure. The work with the homeless, people facing multiple complex challenges including mental or physical disabilities, learning difficulties, addictions and more.
This charity means a lot to me because my mum works there and I want to ensure the money I raise goes those in need to help make their lives a little bit better.
