Brave the Shave
Many of you may not know this, but in July 2018, I was diagnosed with a non-malignant tumour on my bowel. At 21, I don't think this is the sort of news you want to hear and to think it could easily turn serious was a huge wake up call. It was a massive, massive eye opener for me and thankfully, due to the tireless efforts from the NHS, I've recovered from my scare, for which I will be forever grateful. My experiences in various wards and waiting rooms and my gratitude have led me to decide its my time to give something back. £1000 is the target, which to many probably seems like a small fortune, but in the scheme of things, is a drop in the ocean compared to the challenges and money needed to beat cancer. Also, because if I'm going to take up this sort of challenge, I'd like to raise a decent sum instead of a tiny amount. I wanted to remove my brows as well, but on medical advice, they may not grow back, so I'll have to give that a miss I'm afraid. Please give whatever you can as I'm sure you amazing people will help reach my goal. As much as I want to retain my dignity and keep my lovely receeding head of hair, it's all for an amazing cause and I'll happily oblige if I reach my small but meaningful target! Thanks for listening and here we go! All the best, Will
