My Medical Journey

Hi, we are Cesar & Erika Lopez the proud parents of our warrior son Cesar. In 2014 Cesar’s medical journey started at a very young age of 9 years old. Our son started showing signs of lip deformation. We immediately addressed it to his pediatrician. Cesar was referred to a team of specialists to determine diagnosis. He was diagnosed with cancer of the lip.

Cesar started intensive rounds of chemotherapy and cosmetic surgery to reconstruct the deformity from all of the chemotherapy that was directly injected to his lip.

Unfortunately, his Cancer returned more aggressively after being in remission for 4 years. Since January of 2019, our son has endured 38 rounds of chemotherapy.

Cesar is currently a High School Senior. He has accomplished so many personal goals despite his medical condition. His plans after college is to become a firefighter.

Since Cesar has shared his journey with the Los Angeles Punk Rock Community, he has made friends that have become family and big supporters of his journey. Special thanks Knucklehead Tom for creating Cesar’s F*** Cancer Festival, Nacho of Nothing Less Booking for making the F*** Cancer gigs and to Dick Slaughter and the Editors at In Spite Magazine. We are great full for all the support you have given our son.

Our son still has a long medical journey ahead of him. This Go Fund Me will help pay for all of his future medical bills.
