Nagy Family

As you all may have heard, The Nagy Family has suffered a great loss. Let’s come together and help Sunny, Melody and Taylor during this difficult time. 

Please read below in Sunny’s words:

I'm having a hard time writing this so Im sorry it is a day late...

It is with a heavy heart that I have to let everyone who knew my husband Steve know that he passed away the night of the 19th My best friend of 24 years, father of my two amazing children, our travel buddy, and friends of so many more people than I ever could have imagined.

I am lost. We have been together since we were 18/19... Thats 24.5 years... We've been through all the ups and downs of of a relationship from just being kids ourself dating, having kids of our own, marrying, and ultimately waiting and watching as one of us slowly slipped away.  I am numb. And scared. And confused. And angry. And so so so so so so sad. And terrfied for my children having to grow up without a father Melody won't have the man she loves walk her down the aisle and protect her... And Tay won't have his baseball buddy to guide him thru high school and into college ❤️ My heart is shattered for them ☹️

But I have been AMAZED by the amount of people who love us, love Steve and have reached out to me and Tay and Mel to tell us that they're here for us. And I am SO BLESSED and I love EACH and EVERY one of you and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for EVERYTHING you are doing and offering us. Steve was one of those people who could make you laugh at the drop of a dime... And he was so giving and caring and he LOVED his friends... He loved Melody and she had him wrapped around her little finger and his knowledge of baseball was incredible and from the time Tay was 3 his dedication to the game showed over the years as he worked with Tay and DPLL. He loved his kids so so much and was such a good dad.

I don't know what to ask for. Everyone is telling us that they want to help but I just don't know. Im still kind of in shock. If I don't ask you for anything please don't feel like I'm brushing you off... Just understand that I just really have no idea what I even need. It's all so fresh... And I don't really know where to begin... 

One thing I do know... Is that Tay and Mel need ALL the love they can possibly get at this time in their lives... So if you know them... Or see them... Tell them Hug them Love them Please ❤️

As for funerals and memorials and whatnot... We are working on figuring that out. Covid may be playing a role as to how many and who can be in churches or other locations... So ultimately we may be planning an outdoor memorial that EVERYONE can attend... If so, that will be 3-4 weeks out to allow for plane tickets and hotel reservations and asking for time off from work... I will update everyone as I know more. 

Thank you everyone for everything... All the phone calls and flowers and texts... It all means the world to the kids and I I couldn't have asked for a better community of friends to love us like you all do ❤️  I'll let you know soon when you can join us in a celebration of Steve's life.
