Anna’s Fight With Cancer - Memorial
**Updated June 10th 2020 - Anna Olisker, the love of my life, passed away during the night after an 8 month battle with cancer. She was the sweetest, kindest, gentlest, angel I have ever known. I love her with all my heart ....and she wrapped me and our two boys in her never ending warmth and love. She fought so hard to be able to see them grow up. But the cancer moved so fast and and was unstoppable. I’ll love her forever and miss her forever. ❤️ ** On October 18th our lives were turned upside down. My daughter Anna Olisker was rushed to the emergency room in excruciating pain, her left leg ballooned to twice its normal size. The doctors found a blood clot running from her thigh all the way down to her knee. The culprit was a stage 3 cancerous sarcoma that had grown almost 6 inches long.
The next few weeks were spent between two hospitals, undergoing tests and speaking with specialists. Unfortunately the location, position, and size of the tumor makes removing it very complicated. This week we started radiation therapy in hopes that it shrinks enough to be removed. We are staying positive and strong but the future for Anna remains uncertain.
Needless to say our family has been devastated by this. Anna and her husband Guy have two young children, the youngest just under a year old. Watching helplessly as your beautiful, 39 year old daughter fights for her life is hard enough. Knowing the financial toll coming on top makes it even harder.
On top of mounting medical bills Anna is bedridden and can’t work. With no income from her teaching and a long battle ahead, their family is in need of your support to stay afloat.
