Jamie's Fight

With Jamie’s blessing we want to provide an update based on the information we have at this time. As many of you know, Jamie was recently diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. The cancer spread to her spinal column and she underwent surgery. The surgeon was able to remove most of the tumor and vertebrae allowing them to replace it with a rod. 

Currently, Jamie is recovering from her operation and has started radiation treatment on her spine. We are currently waiting on test results from Mayo Clinic to identify more cancer markers and prognosis. Once we have the information from Mayo, our goal is to have Jamie admitted to MD Anderson in Houston, Texas, for further treatment.

All of this information and process has been traumatic for our family. However, we cannot express how grateful our family is for everything the community has done for us, from people bringing over amazing dinners, to dropping off comfort gifts, and more. This diagnosis has been very difficult to hear and cope with, but, with all the support we have received, this burden has been made lighter and our spirits uplifted a little more. So, thank you all.
