Albert, Mary Ann Lombo & Family
On August 20, 2017, at 12:23am, a Jeep heading north drove over the median near Pomona Avenue in California striking two vehicles in the southbound lanes.
It is sad to know that our friend, Mary Ann Lombo, and her family (who went to the US to attend a wedding) were passengers of the SUV that was hit by the Jeep. Mary Ann’s aunt is the person that died in this accident, while Mary Ann and the rest of her family were seriously injured, including her children.
At the time of the incident, Mary Ann and her family were all rushed to separate hospitals to receive medical treatment. One of her daughters was treated for bruises, while her other daughter suffered from fractured hips. Mary Ann was treated in the ICU for fractured sternum, broken ribs, and bruises. Though still swollen, she is finally discharged from the hospital on August 24th. However, Albert, her husband, had to undergo surgery due to broken ribs, collapsed lungs, and ruptured intestine. Albert is still at the hospital for indefinite period.
During this difficult time, your help is greatly appreciated. The donation will help fund their extended stay in the U.S., cover for their growing medical expenses, facilitate their return back in Canada, and help afford their day-to-day expenses while recovering, and unable to work.
Here is the news footage of the accident:
