In Memory of Doug “Dozer” Moors
Raising funds to establish a scholarship in the name of Doug “Dozer” Moors.
Doug “Dozer” Moors was killed in a car accident over this past summer on July 30th, at 22 years old.
Dozer grew up in Goodrich and went to Goodrich Schools his entire life, graduating from Goodrich High School in the class of 2013. He was an exceptional athlete playing basketball and baseball, which was his true passion. He continued his passion for baseball as a member of the Club Baseball team at Central Michigan University where he was working toward a degree in Sports Management with a minor in Economics.
I knew Doug as my older brother’s best friend, but after attending his memorial service and reading the countless tributes to him after his passing, I quickly realized that there were many other people who considered Doug to be their best friend. Most of the tributes held a common theme; that Dozer was always such a happy and enthusiastic person, that he truly cared and loved his family and friends, and that he was incredibly passionate about everything he did.
As part of my senior Capstone project and to promote the qualities of Doug’s personality, I am hoping to raise funds to provide a scholarship or scholarships for a Goodrich High School senior who shares these qualities. Doug was the person that everyone should strive to be.
Any size donation will help. Please also consider sharing this message with others who may have known Doug.
Thank you!
