community member could use our help

Debbie and Chris  Kiersted have been community members of Canaan for 30 years. They moved here from Litchfield and Nashua in order to provide a better, slower paced, country life for their 4 children. They have always been thankful they made that decision and are now proud to share the country life with their 10 grandchildren also (as all 4 children and their spouses continue to live locally). Recently, Debbie was diagnosed with very aggressive stage 3 brain cancer (a glimoa to be exact). She will be starting chemotherapy in conjunction with radiation therapy at the Cancer treatment center of America in Philadelphia. She and her family are keeping a positive and hopeful outlook and are thankful for positive thoughts and prayers. As a community let's pull together and show the Kierstead family what small town living is really about; helping one another! No donation is too small to be helpful.
