May 6, 2019. 600 PM MTN Aurora,CO.. Heavy hearted and deeply saddened, I am humbly asking for compassion, empathy and generosity on behalf of the Unger family. Their family suffered the sudden and devastatingly tragic death of their 16 yr old son and brother of 5. Their son, Ryan, was fatally shot in a parking area near Independence Elementary School. We deeply ask that if anyone has any information regarding this travesty.. to please contact Crime stoppers or Aurora PD. No detail is too insignificant. A memorial site has been placed near the school, for public visitors, families and friends who would like to show their respects. We ask that the family be respected and their privacy honored. They are a struggling yet very loving, hard working, honest folks. Giving their boys the best they can. No parent should ever have to bury their child and mourn under these circumstances. No sibling should ever have to feel the emptiness of heart that once was blessedly overflowing, as result of another's incomprehensible actions. Today is a day for healing, love, respect, humility, and courage. As they begin to patch the brokeness in each of them and come together as a family, PLEASE remember the true depth and value of love and family. ESPECIALLY YOUR OWN.
