On June 22, 2015 Danny Bell had a massive heart attack at his home. His wife, Samantha, with the help of the 911 operator, performed chest compressions for over 20 minutes until the ambulance arrived. Danny was without a pulse for that time until EMS were able to resuscitate him. He was then rushed to the hospital. Things were not looking good. Danny stayed in the ICU in an induced coma and on a breathing ventilator for the next 8 days.  After waking up, he was diagnosed with pneumonia and was moved to a room in the coronary care unit. They ran several tests and found no blockage or hardening of the arteries, but what they did find was weak muscles in the heart. He underwent surgery and recieved an ICD/placemaker to keep his heart beating the way that it should and to shock the heart if it were to stop. Finally, after 16 days, Danny was released from the hospital. He is unable to work now in his position as an electrical foreman with a small electrical company, Dwyer Electric,  in Wilmington, NC and his medical bills are piling up.
    Danny is 41 years old and is the sole provider for his wife and two daughters. He is the hardest working man you will ever meet. He has a heart of gold and would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. He has no health insurance and is unsure if or when he will be able to go back to work.
