Help for the Hutto family

Spende geschützt

Just over a year and a half ago Dean Hutto was traveling for business and was overcome by a lack of oxygen to his lungs. He immediately decided to fly home to be with his family and figure out what could be wrong. The decision to fly home was easy but getting home proved to be very difficult. While in the airport he was forced to make many stops along the way just to catch his breath. As one could imagine, the flight was a very scary one due to the difficulty breathing. Once he was home: his pulmonary doctor immediately admitted him to the hospital to try and reduce the inflammation in his lungs.  The fortunate thing about living in Denver,Colorado is that the National Jewish, one of the world's leading respiratory facilities is located here.  Dean was diagnosed with ILD (interstitial lung disease) also known as idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis which is a disease that cannot be reversed and is very tough to slow its progress. Dean is now on the lung transplant list at the University of Colorado Hospital and has been for over a year. Dean was the families sole income for many years and he traveled extensively for business.  His wife Karyn raised their boys Jake, Sam and Max and ran the household. Dean's company was kind enough to shift some responsibilities and let him work for about 6 months without travel but the company was unable to sustain the position for any longer and he was forced to take a disability leave. His position has now been terminated now is forced to find health insurance through the marketplace or COBRA insurance.  The little income they had coming in is gone, making it difficult to pay the bills and remain in their home. He is in the #1 or 2 position to receive the lung transplant and is just in this waiting period for his match to come through. This family has been my extended family for 17 years and they have nursed me through some tough times. They would never ask for help from anybody so I have taken it upon myself to help them out. I have set a goal of $20,000 to help them through this and the continued rehab that will occur after the transplant. Any donation will help.  Following is a link to Dean's Caring Bridge journal if you would like to follow his journey.  http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/deanhutto

Thank you in advance for your donations, they mean so much!
