Show Must Go On!!!!
Tax deductible
As a new phase of construction to restore the Barnum Museum begins, we welcome you to be a part of the campaign to conserve the seven beautiful Stained Glass Windows that adorn the upper floor of the historic Barnum building, where famous inventors like the Wright Brothers and Thomas Edison spoke to the Bridgeport community over one hundred years ago!
Each of the decorative windows is original to the 1893 building, and each requires specialized conservation to stabilize the delicate colored glass designs. One-by-one, the windows will be removed and assessed for treatment by a professional Stained Glass Conservator, who will recommend specific treatments. The goal is to clean, repair and retain all authentic elements of these magnificent windows, and return them to the building with renewed strength, color and vibrancy!
The cost for the conservation of each of the seven Stained Glass Windows is $25,000.
· Stained Glass Window #1 = $25,000
· Stained Glass Window #2
· Stained Glass Window #3
· Stained Glass Window #4
· Stained Glass Window #5
· Stained Glass Window #6
· Stained Glass Window #7
This is your opportunity to support the conservation of Stained Glass Window #1!
We are excited to roll this campaign out in phases to give you the opportunity to have YOUR NAME commemorated with Window #1! Your generosity will be recognized in a special YouTube thank you paying tribute to your kind support. Your donation in any amount is welcome and greatly appreciated, and will move the remarkable historic restoration of the Barnum Museum forward!
