Help us repair Josie's broken leg!

On Saturday, January 4, 2014, my fiance Charlie and I liberated a cat from an abandoned and boarded up house on our block after Animal Control did not come to help her in the estimated 48 hour time period. With freezing temperatures upon us, we knew we couldn't allow this kitty to spend another night trapped and crying in a filthy, dark and scary place. What we found was the most beautiful, loving and friendly cat we have ever met. We are calling her Josie! Josie is very under weight and wobbly on her legs. She is eating very well and wants nothing more than to be petted and loved. She had her first vet visit today, and while she tested negative for feline leukemia and aids, her back leg is broken and needs surgery to repair the break. A rescue has stepped up and sponsored her spay and shots, but we can not afford the surgery to fix her leg. There are several people interested in adopting her and we really need to get her healthy so she can go to a forever home! Thank you so much for your help. Every little bit counts! With love,
Lydia, Charlie, and Josie
