Is a feature documentary film on the life and times of legendary high school basketball coach Robert Hughes. This film’s purpose is to bring light to the incredible journey of Hughes, from his humbled beginnings in segregated Oklahoma to his joyous triumph of being an inductee into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield, Massachusetts. Racism, tragedy and discrimination weren’t enough to obstruct his greatness.
For the past 2 years I have conducted interviews and gathered footage and information that will surely make this film an unforgettable event. I am one step away from completing the project and I am seeking financial assistance for the final piece of the film. I am seeking funds for the “post production “ portion of the filmmaking process. This includes obtaining licensed footage, all editing, color matching, color correction, audio mixing, mastering and balancing, lower thirds, animation, stock audio, stock footage and the score.
Coach Robert Hughes who is now 90, deserves to have his amazing story told. Let’s make it happen.
