Ky'Eisha's Journey to Africa
Donation protected
Greetings, my name is Ky'Eisha Penn and I am a recent graduate of The Florida State University and 1st year graduate student at Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University. I am currently studying African & African-American History through the Masters of Applied Social Science Program and hope to take my studies to one of the main sources of black culture--Africa.
I am excited to have the opportunity to study in and experience such a wonderful country--Ghana. Ghana, West Africa is described as a land rich in history and culture. This cultural immersion experience, under the direction of Dr. Yussif Dokurugu is filled with regional related cultural excursions, seminars in Accra, the country's capital; Kumasi, the Ashanti Region; Cape Coast, the Central Region; and Tamale to name only a few. While there I intend to not only explore and study all that I can, but also share a photo/video journal of my experience that I will then forward to all of my supporters.
This is an opportunity of a lifetime that I really hope to be able to embark on, which is why I need YOUR help to get there. Help me get to Ghana this March from 3/7-3/15. While it is an amazing opportunity, it is costly as well, which is the only thing standing in my way, but I have faith that a way will be made. This is not only an investment in a trip, but rather an investment into a life changing educational and cultural experience. Please help me get there!
Amani na Baraka,
Peace and Blessings
