Stella's Medical Expenses

Hello all you fellow dog lovers. My name is Ellaree Cobb and I'm reaching out for some financial assistance to help me and my sweet pup Stella.  I've had Stella aka Beans aka Bidda aka Stellabutts since she was 6 weeks old. I am a positive reinforcement/force free dog trainer who works with dogs on the regular.  Like most pet owners, this dog is my life. She has traveled the country with me, hikes with me, is there for me when I'm sad, has stood by me through it all and gives me the unconditional love that we are blessed by with all our canine companions.

In 2017 Stella started displaying bouts of pain in her back legs or rear-end area. She would be walking along and then all of a sudden yelp/scream and look back, focusing on her rump/leg area. I got her x-rayed, had a check in with the vet, and all was clear. A client of mine pointed out their pup sometimes does that with clogged anal glands, so I got those expressed. She then started to get very fearful. Cowered whenever cars would go by us, be overly sensitive to sounds inside, very anxious and showed signs of stress if anyone touched her back area. She has an older brother named Sir Didymus, whom she adores.  But things shifted, if he was laying near her and moved, even in deep sleep, she would jump up and get offensive/attack him.  Among her leg/spine/rear end issue, she sometimes trembles, will have random pieces of stool fall out of her bum without her realizing, won't want to go outside if it's too noisy, has days of depression and then manic episodes. 

I've tried countless medications (and natural remedies), she's currently on trazadone, gabapentin, and clomicalm which seems to help a little but does not solve the problem. Besides x-rays, I've done stool samples, urine samples, blood work, I've consulted another trainer, my vet (who is an angel and has been very dedicated in Stella's treatments), and a phone consult with a behaviorist.  All three professionals now think it's time to see a Neurologist to check for spinal issues or brain/tumor issues.  And I agree.

Besides the $5693 minimum estimate from the specialist, in the last three months alone I've spent around $1500 on tests and trying different medications. I'm emotionally, mentally, and finically drained. This has been going on for a couple years now and I don't even want to add the total up from previous bills. But right now, I need help.  I've included the estimates, invoice, and credit card statements and will update as time goes on.

She has her MRI this Thursday 1/28/2021 at 8 am. I hope they find answers. I just want her to not be uncomfortable or in pain. I want to be able to give her the best life that she has given me.
