We hope you are reading this from somewhere that is safe and comfortable. It’s without a doubt that the last couple of weeks have been filled with more change and uncertainty than you could have ever imagined.
We would like to believe that all of us look to Cannon as a second home. We also believe that this was a major sacrifice, especially by our seniors, because of the amazing people, food and moments we will miss. The effects of COVID-19 have been far-reaching and life-altering for many, having to leave Cannon is just one of many.
Having said that, some of our Gunner family relies on our presence in the club. This means the effects of this pandemic extend to our Staff, who are not able to continue working at Cannon during the spring. As an officer core, we are concerned with what this means for the wellbeing of our staff and we know our alumni care as well.
Cannon's current members, alumni, and staff are one big family and for that reason, we ask that both alumni and current members consider donating to our staff.
If you are willing to do so please donate to the Cannon Staff Funding GoFundMe. A suggested donation is $100, which is roughly equivalent to a day of work.
A major part of what makes Cannon the best club on the street is because of its fantastic staff and their hard work. A major reason why we are able to consider Cannon a second home is because of their work that goes unnoticed.
We hope that you will all consider giving. We hope that you all remain healthy. And, we hope to see you sooner rather than later.
