Please Help Dave And Helen Maggard

Family of bluegrass songwriter, Dave Maggard, needs help to keep him and his wife Helen together as he battles cancer hours from home. As many of you know, my uncle, Dave Maggard, has been battling cancer since the fall of last year. Since that time, he’s been in and out of the hospital in Lexington - sometimes for weeks at a time - a rehabilitation center in Richmond, made thirty visits to a Lexington radiation center, and is currently hospitalized in Louisville. He and his family live in Estill County, quite a distance away from all these places. The journey to these appointment and extended hospital stays have been financially draining. Uncle Dave is Bluegrass songwriter and musician. He was a mechanic and a teacher. But the most impressive title he holds is Dad. Tomorrow is Father’s Day. He’ll spend that in the hospital, as yet another bump in the road has presented itself tonight. Please help by making sure his family can spend that with him. My Aunt Helen has been by Uncle Dave’s side every day for sixty years. Aunt Helen and Uncle Dave are a team, a beautiful love story. Without her by his side, I’m afraid he will give up his fight. Over the last six decades, Uncle Dave has done countless benefit shows - organized them and played at them. Now he's the one who needs help. Please help if you can.
