Please Help Keep My Book Store Alive!
I started Jaime Peligro book store in Playa Tamarindo, Costa Rica nearly eleven years ago. The past four or five years have been difficult and I have gone into debt. I am a single father with custody of my son, Sam, 6 years old now & the best thing to ever happen in my life. I would like to be able to pay my back-taxes here, to avoid the possibility of the shop being closed by the local municipality. I would also like to be able to pay my debt to a Costa Rican book distributor, so I can start stocking travel guides, books about the area, etc., again. I will begin receiving my Social Security in June, so there is light at the end of the tunnel. I feel like I have been community-oriented throughout the time I have had the shop. Right now, keeping custody of Sam is my priority.
