Walker Bennett Family

Walker is the 6 year old son of Jeremy and Nichole. He has a younger brother and a sister that was born in January of this year. Jeremy is a metro Atlanta firefighter and Nichole is a school teacher. They’re both running out of leave time and this is going to be difficult to manage two other young ones as well. Walker has been at Scottish Rite ICU since this PAST Monday. They are looking at at least another 1-3 weeks in the ICU depending on how his progress goes. He was diagnosed with the flu, but it has been discovered he did not have the flu. He had strep and the infection went to his lungs and he progressed to pneumonia. He had a chest tube placed Tuesday to draw off fluid, and had complications with that one and had to have it replaced with a larger one. If the fluid is not relieved, he is facing a possible surgery to relieve the fluid buildup. Please pray this family and share even if you can’t give funds toward their needs.

Update on 4/3/18: Walker had a blood transfusion Saturday and underwent surgery yesterday (Monday) to attempt to remove the mucus and infection in his lung.
