MS Treatment for Talyr
Donation protected
Hello! I’m Rebecca, and I’ve been friends with Talyr Hall since we were little kids. We’ve both been through some pretty rough life stuff, and now she’s facing her biggest challenge yet: she has Multiple Sclerosis. Talyr was diagnosed with Relapsing-Remitting MS in May of 2016, and since then the disease has heavily affected her life. She is unable to run or do most things she was able to do as a cheerleader in high school. She has trouble walking properly. She struggles with fatigue & mental fog. All this while trying to get through med school! This disease has affected her academics, her personal relationships, and her future goals. But there is hope! Some brilliant doctors have had some impressive success with stem cell transplant therapy in patients with MS. Talyr was lucky enough to meet one of these patients recently, and their progress is astounding. Since then, Talyr & I have been researching this new therapy & she has decided to try it. Talyr has been approved to go for her initial evaluation appointment, during which they will decide if she’s a good candidate for the procedure. The initial appointment is fairly pricey, and the procedure itself is VERY expensive (insurance has estimated $130,000), so she needs all the help she can get. Initially, our goal is to cover the cost of the evaluation appointment (approximately $10,000 including travel to & from Chicago). Please donate what you can, and pray, send good vibes, and cross your fingers. Thank you!
