518 Riverside Flood Damage repairs

Hi, my name is Nicole Menard and I am the niece of Tim Menard and daughter of John Menard. I am starting this gofundme on their behalf. The family home that my grandparents built and was their dream home, was recently devastated by flooding and sewer damage  in Crookston, MN. This home is so precious to our family, in which so many wonderful memories for many generations have been made. The damage to the downstairs living area which includes three bedrooms, a bathroom, and utility closet, a sunroom, and storage shed is extensive and it is highly unlikely that insurance including flood insurance will cover the repair costs, as flood insurance does not cover damage done to basements. This home has withstood 49 years of spring flooding, including the great flood of 1997 and has never taken on water, until now. We recently received information that all of the walls in the basement will probably need to be replaced as the walls have wicked up water up to 80% of the surface area. A local professional cleaning company declined the job as the water and mold damage was too extensive for them and their equipment, and referred my uncle to a professional contractor. Both my uncle and my dad are on a fixed income and the repairs will be too costly for them to bear on their own. Any help whatsoever is greatly appreciated!
