Help with Unexpected Medical Emergency Bills

Over Christmas, I had an unexpected Medical Emergency. I was in the hospital for a few days. My insurance has a out of pocket max at $16,000...so I am stick with a very large bill now. Plus, I may have to have back surgery which will add to what I already owe. I am embarrassed and hate asking for help. But anything is helpful. This with my credit card bills is making me face a decision to file bankruptcy, which I don't want. The hospital stay was necessary for my health and safety and was an emergency. I missed Christmas while being sick in the hospital. Although I missed it, I'm glad that I am feeling better.  As I mentioned, I may still be having a back surgery, but I'll cross that path when I get there.  I work hard and help others. It's hard, humiliating, and humbling for me to share this and ask for help. But I'm at that point of desperation. If you have any questions, please let me know.
