Help Tina Fight the Good Fight...

“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.”‭‭2 Timothy‬ ‭4:7‬ ‭ESV‬‬This was a theme exemplified by our son. In context Christian Thomas Unfried was a witness for Christ and demonstrated the gospel as he battled t-cell lymphoma.And now Tina joins her late son for a marathon of faithfulness: fighting uterine cancer to bring glory to God.As we develop this campaign her full diagnosis is in progress, but on December 16, 2017 a “huge mass” (stated as such in her medical record) was removed and found to be malignant. Not just a biopsy, this was an urgent surgery that had the goal of removing all malignancy if found. As part of the excellent treatment Tina has received, we have good reason to believe all the cancer was removed.But that is merely the beginning of Tina’s race. Since we are woefully under-insured due to the vagaries of the Affordable Care Act, over $70,000 of bills have been accumulated in just 7 days. Next we need to prepare for the unknown (but assumed to be expensive) cost of chemotherapy.We once considered the cancer ward of Rady Children’s Hospital in San Diego, California to be our mission field. It would now seem that we are being called again. We appreciate any assistance you can provide to support us in this fight.
