General Contractor Tool Theft

Chris Gillaspy is a young, hungry, and aggressive general contractor, w 2 young children at home. He has made it a true family business, by employing his 3 brothers to work with him, daily. On Thursday, December 14th, his work truck was parked outside of his home. Sometime during the night, his truck was broken into, and everything was stolen. And I mean, everything... He lost his power tools, saws, air guns, hoses, compressors, cords, tool boxes, and even his own personal hand tools/tool pouch. He was left with ZERO to work with. He lost over $15k in tools. This basically puts him in a tough spot. His liability/work insurance, will cover almost nothing. He will have to forego paying his help and all the subs, in order to buy what he can afford, right now. Most of you contractors know, that it’s not easy, getting by with what you can. You almost need “everything”, to work. With that said, I am asking for donations to help him recover the tools he lost, so he can get back on track. He has a lot of current and future work, and is ready to go. To have this happen at Christmas time is also not a really good time. What do we do as construction “brothers”?? We all pitch in to help each other. That’s what we do! Some of you locals, have offered to donate or loan him tools, which is awesome. And those of you, that know Chris from social media or in person, know that he would never ask for help. That’s why I’ve decided to do it on my own.
