The fire started around 5:30 a.m. Tuesday January 2nd in a furniture store in the four-story building at the corner of East Tremont Avenue and Commonwealth Avenue. This was a 7 Alarm Fire .The FDNY said more than 200 firefighters are battling the blaze. Flames and smoke could be seen pouring from the building. My mother is 75 years old, is disable and walks with a cane that she lost in the fire. My brother and son lost all their belongings they only have the clothes they have on their backs. Over 22 people were injured and sent to the hospital , Everyone lost their home. Most of the tenants have been living in the building for over fourty years with all her memories and belongings gone before their eyes my family is in desperate need at this time. Please help me , help them in any way you possibly can. I started this gofundme page to help my family get threw this tough time , it makes me very sad to see how this new year is starting out for them and I want to let them know they are not alone. What defines us is how well we rise after falling. If you can take a moment and put yourself in their shoes and feel the lost of not only the materialistic things but the memories of their whole life, pictures and videos that they will only have in their hearts . The feeling of regret, sorrow, sadness, emotional distress, shock, anger, depression and hopelessness. So please from the bottom of my heart help them in any way you can.
