Louis Pine Romeros Leukemia Fund
Donation protected
Aloha! This page is being set up on behalf of Maui Fire Departmentʻs Battalion Chief, Louis Pi'ne Romero, to assist with his fight against AML Leukemia. On September 28 2013, Louis was diagnosed with AML Leukemia. Firefighters have a 50 percent higher risk of certain cancers, and AML Leukemia is linked to chemical exposure that firefighters deal with on a regular basis. Battalion Chief Romero dedicated his life to serve and protect his community as a firefighter, at this time, we ask that the community please help him fight his biggest fight. Louis will be hospitalized for several weeks, and his treatment will continue on for several months. With your support, prayers and aloha, Louis will win this fight.
Louis is 44 years old. He is a devoted husband and father of four. Louis has been very active in the community of Up Country Maui. He's spent over 12 years as a little league coach, and has worked with youth basketball and girls youth volleyball. Some people will also recognize Louis as the original lead singer of the 90's musical group, Hawaiian Time from the island of Lana`i. He sang their hit songs, Kiss Me, Pay The Man, Mahalo E Papa and Ku'u Tutu.
