My son Uriah and I are going to be going to Philmont Scout Ranch in Cimarron New Mexico in July of next year for 2 weeks. This trip will be amazing. Just a few of the things we will experience on this trip: Gold panning, flyfishing, chuckwagon meals, climbing, black powder gun firing, hiking, and lots more. Numerous current and former scouts agree that this adventure was the high adventure "highlight" of their experience in scouting. It is an expensive trip. Just the travel itself to and from the ranch is enough to cause one to hesitate when embarking on such a journey, not to mention some gear expenses, preparation hikes, etc. We are looking at needing between $2600-$3200 to pay for this trip. That's a whole lot of dough. We appreciate your support and promise to have the time of our lives. On a personal note, I see this opportunity as a big step for my son as he makes serious strides towards becoming the man God has made him to be.
