We are reaching out with heavy hearts to ask for your support for our dear friends, the Herrera family. A few days ago, their lives took an unexpected and terrifying turn when lightning struck their home, causing a significant fire.

Fortunately, Katarina and the girls, who were home at the time, managed to escape to safety with their dogs. David, who was out of state on military orders, has thankfully been released and is now back home with his family.

While we are beyond relieved that everyone is safe, the fire caused extensive damage to their home, destroying the girls' bedrooms, bathrooms, attic, and garage. They are currently staying in a hotel as they begin to navigate the long and challenging journey of recovery.

Adding to the devastation, Kora and Abby have lost almost everything in their rooms due to smoke, fire, water, and fiberglass contamination. This includes all of their clothing, furniture, etc.

The Herrera family faces a long, expensive road ahead in repairing their home and replacing their belongings. This GoFundMe has been created to help alleviate some of the immediate financial burden they will undoubtedly face in the coming weeks and months of living out of a hotel room and having to eat out for all of their meals.
