Kickin Glioblastoma's Ass

Dan is an amazing husband, father, and friend. Last week he got devastating news that he has glioblastoma (GBM) cancer. Monday, September 18th, he had a golf ball size mass removed from his brain. The biopsy confirmed that the GBM is at level 4, the survival rate is less than 1% without proper care, 10% with treatment. Dan and the Ackeret family was devistated but they are strong and have faith that God has a plan. The family has many struggles ahead but we know Dan will beat this!! Dan is an amazing man surrounded by love and compassion. We are asking for help for the family as they embark on this new path kicking Glioblastoma's ass!!Currently, the doctors are trying to decide the correct path for treatment, either Huston or Duke University. The road ahead is long, but the family is strong and will beat this cancer!!
