Domestic Abuse Charity in need of building repairs

The Rosalie Ryrie Foundation was set up 16 years ago by Ann Ramsden, manager and founder in memory of her mum 'Rosalie' who unfortunately never got to experience a positive life without abuse. The 'RRF' Supports families living with Domestic Abuse. The Foundation was created to provide a service to help victims, perpetrators, young people, children and families through all forms of abusive behaviour including domestic abuse, child abuse and coercive control.

The foundation has solely relied on yearly funding and donations to enable them to support the families they have worked with over the last 16 years. The staff have decided to take it upon themselves and RISK THEIR OWN LIVES by taking part in a Sky Dive at 15,000 feet!! to raise funds to enable them to continue supporting families in West Yorkshire. They are in desperate need of a new roof and new windows, but unfortunately they can't go after funding or ask the council. These repairs will enable the organisation to continue to support 100's of families each year, as they have done for the past 16 years!

The staff all have their own lived experiences of living in abusive relationships or witnessed as children, They all started their journeys at the RRF as clients, and now use their knowledge and expertise to help other families around changing behaviours and helping other people to break the cycle. By supporting just 1 family to change their behaviours and break the cycle, it makes their role worth while and something positive came our of their own lived experiences.
Here is some of the awards they have been nominated for over their 16 years of service.
