The Fix Our Muddy Track Project
Spende geschützt
Our beloved community walking and running track has become a muddy, rutted mess! As a neighbor who lives adjacent to the field, I’ve become increasingly disheartened by the deteriorating condition of the track. Portland Public Schools (PPS) owns the field but has no budget to repair the track. I’ve decided to take on the crusade to raise money for a truck load of new lava cinders (red sandy surfacing material), and to organize a volunteer crew to spread it. The project has been approved by the PPS Facilities Department – Approval #4076-FY16.
Here are two ways that you can help:
1. Volunteer to help on a weekend work crew (wheel-barrels, shovels, and rakes) that will be scheduled once we have the materials delivered. Send your email address to Brian Hauck at [E-Mail ausgeblendet], so I can add your information to a list of people interested involunteering. Details will follow.
2. Donate money to purchase the surfacing materials. Every dollar helps.
Organizer: Brian Hauck, SW 84th Avenue
PPS Project Manager: Kai Lewars
