Help With Spinal Surgery Costs
I'm Rae and I desperately need your help. I recently lost my job and am in need of some serious medical care. I was a military contractor overseas and injured my back. It was determined I need surgery on my spine, L5-S1, to remove the disc and fuse the vertebrae together. The above picture shows the damage from my latest MRI. My medical needs are beyond the ability of the remote local hospital to help, so I was medically dismissed and sent from the Marshall islands back to San Diego. I'm living with family and paying for Cobra to keep my insurance through this needed surgery, but am at the limit of my emergency fund. On top of the Cobra payments that I can't afford, $600/month, my out-of-pocket expenses for the surgery are going to be close to $10K, if my insurance approves it and without any complications. I'm still waiting on insurance approval. If my insurance doesn't cover it, the costs will be way more, closer to $80-90K. My mother will be caring for me during my recovery. Without work I can't afford the insurance and medical costs, without the surgery I can't work. Please help me and my family with the costs, every bit helps.
