Jim Ylinen's Hospice Care

Donation protected
Jim Ylinen was recently diagnosed with a terminal glioblastoma. This fast-growing and aggressive brain tumor spans both hemispheres of his brain. The doctors delivered very heart-breaking news: Jim’s life expectancy is 3-6 months at most. As the tumor continues to grow, he will become more confused and lose his ability to function. This process has already started as he has had horrible moments of confusion and paranoia while in the hospital.

Barb and family have made the difficult decision to transition Jim to hospice care. Although Barb hoped to bring Jim home, the disease progression has already made this an impossible goal. The extent of his needs will require long term care in a hospice facility.

Although the doctors gave an estimated life expectancy, the duration of hospice care needed is unknown. Unfortunately, all costs are out-of-pocket for the family.

Any donations received will go towards the cost of cares at this facility and funeral costs when Jim passes. We would like to thank everyone for their support for Jim, Barb, and family during this difficult transition.
