My friend Kim Kunkel really needs some help right now. It has always been difficult for Kim to ask for assistance but she is finally saying uncle. She was recently hospitalized for surgery/amputation on one foot due to diabetes.
She filed for social security/Medicare last year and when she went to check the status pre-hospital visit, she learned her application had not been processed even though she had the required confirmation number. The morning of the hospital visit she re-filed. At the moment she’s without insurance.
Kim has devoted the last 25 years serving the community as a massage therapist providing nurturing healing to many. She is a supporter of the arts, an incredible friend and a cheerleader for all of us. I can attest to this personally-- for many years she has encouraged me, supported my projects and performances, and given me the most healing massages.
Currently she’s out of commission and ready to get back to work when released by the doctor. The healing will take some. A little financial assistance would help bridge the gap to pay for medical expenses.
