The National CMV Foundation is a network of advocates and professionals who work to inform and educate communities about the risks of congenital cytomegalovirus (CMV) infection, especially among pregnant women. Children born with CMV often have birth defects and experience significant developmental disabilities. Unfortunately, despite this reality, CMV remains the most common infection among babies born in the U.S. The Foundation's primary mission is to prevent pregnancy loss, childhood death, and disability due to congenital CMV.
