Please Help—39 year-old daughter has breast cancer

Hello, my name is Teresa. On February 10, 2023, my youngest daughter Jennifer, was diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer (Triple Negative). Things have moved very quickly since then and she’s had many medical appointments and tests, each with co-pays and deductibles. 

She started the chemotherapy protocol on March 1st to shrink the tumor in preparation for surgery over the summer.  Her regime will be chemo and immunotherapy for the next 3 months or so, followed by surgery, radiation, and then, if necessary, chemo in pill form. 

She’s already had multiple doctors appointments and tests (xrays, ultrasounds, PET scans, echocardiogram, lab work etc.), medications, surgery (port inserted in her chest for administration of meds), but there will be many more appointments, tests, medications, and well, the list just goes on and on.

As you can imagine, the bills are already adding up and though she is covered under her husband’s insurance policy, she is a stay-at-home mom of 4 children, aged 17, 14, 5, and 4 and there is only one income. In addition, her husband has had to cut back on his overtime to help get her to appointments and help with the care of the younger children. Insurance alone won’t cover everything.
