Prayers For Serenity

On December 7th, our beautiful Serenity was born. She was born with CDH (Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia). Which means she had a hole in her diaphragm that allowed her abdominal organs to push into her chest. This can only be fix with surgery, which Serenity underwent on December 21st. She also had to be on an ECMO machine, which is essentially a heart and lung bypass machine. On December 27th Serenity was forced off of ECMO because in order to be on it she must be on blood thinners, but the blood thinners were causing some excessive bleeding and the only way to stop the bleeding was to get her off of ECMO. She is now on a ventilator and fighting for her life. Serenity has and extremely long, hard road ahead of her. Potentially looking at up to a year in the hospital. On December 26th Michael and Amanda decided to reach out and request prayers and support from the public and we are completely blown away by the response. People from all over the world have sent prayers and good thoughts to our precious angel and her parents. In addition to the prayers, their family is now asking for help to cover the medical expenses that they are going to incur over the next several months. With everything that Michael and Amanda are going through how they are going to pay the medical bills is not something we want them to be worried about. We would also like to try to give Amanda as much time off as possible to care and nurture her baby as she heals. If you can give anything at all to this precious family, it will be more appreciated than you will ever know.
