I am Jennifer M. Joseph--A wife, a mother, an author, a Pastor, and more importantly, a servant! I am committed to doing whatever I can to make a difference in my community and to be the change that I desire to see. For my 30th birthday this year, I was planning to host a fancy gala to raise funds for my nonprofit organization Bloom Circle. Due to COVID-19, it isn't feasible to do that any longer.
I've decided that instead of hosting a fancy gala where most of the funds would go towards the venue, food, and entertainment, I'd like to gather your support by dedicating ALL of the proceeds to worthy causes! I know that my family, friends, and supporters would easily join me for a fancy gala in celebration of my 30th birthday with no question. It would take nothing for you to purchase a $100 ticket. Moreover, I know that you would shower me with love through gifts and Cashapp donations. With that being said, I am asking 300 of you to instead of giving me money, to please donate $100 to this campaign instead. All proceeds will be equally divided between 3 causes:
1. Bloom Circle, which is a nonprofit organization with a mission to fight against gender inequality and to provide women and girls with the necessary resources, education, and the empowerment that they need to bloom into becoming the very best version of themselves. This is accomplished through our Bi-Annual Women's Fest Conference, through mentorship opportunities, and through our private web-based community that gives members access to a plethora of valuable webinars and resources.
2. A donation to two Philadelphia black-owned businesses that were impacted by the recent demonstrations.
3. A preliminary project to strengthen black churches in Philadelphia.
