Help Send 3 of Viera Florida’s most creative young women to compete for Glory in San Diego!
Six young women from Viera High School in Florida competed at the state level, while all six are winners in our eyes, three won Gold and have a chance to compete at the national level in San Diego, CA on July 3rd-7th.
Emma, Kristen, and Samantha (aka, Box Girl, Jam Girl, and Halo girl) each led the top of their categories in eco-friendly recycling of plastic toys and a creation of an ADA compliant business center which reflects a growing trend with the next generation who believes business, compassion and a focus on correct use of resources can exist in harmony.
They have been working diligently on their projects for during the school year, and the competition was held in Orlando Florida as part of the Florida FCCLA (Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America) on March 4th. This is a non-profit organization, which focused on personal growth, leadership and preparation for careers and development.
These young women are representative of the next generation and we appreciate any donation to assist with their airfare and hotel accommodations.
We need to raise $6,000 based upon the recommendations from FCCLA to cover the expenses for the three girls and the teacher. We would like to gather the funds by May 25th, and are also working garage & bake sales to raise money.
As you can see by the pictures, these young ladies represent our future and again, we thank you for any contribution you make, regardless of the size. We will make sure we post their results and share in their journey.

How the girls received their nick-names:
Emma – Box Girl – Won’t let anyone carry her box of supplies, panics and keeps it close :)
Kristen – Jam Girl – Loves to make Jam with her grandmother and share with friends :)
Samantha - Halo Girl -Addicted to the Xbox game, and survived cancer twice before the age of 16, so Angels at work here :)
