Hope for Harper

At 20 weeks gestation, when Mike and Elise found out they were having a little baby girl, they also got the heart-breaking news that baby would be born with a rare congenital heart defect, called Hypoplastic left heart syndrome. This condition causes the left side of her heart to be underdeveloped, which will lead to multiple open-heart surgeries in the first few years of her life. Baby Harper was born just a few days ago. Although she has been stable and her vitals have been good, her cardiologists believe that it is best to move forward with the first surgery on Tuesday, at only 8 days old.
Harper has a very long road ahead of her, as well as the rest of her family. As we all know, medical expenses can be very stressful. We are hoping to be able to raise enough money to take at least a little bit of financial stress off of Mom & Dad’s shoulders so they can focus on Baby Harper and big brother Mikey as well.
