2016-2017 Haiti Help Med Plus.
Help HHMP Assist Haitians Affected By Hurricane Matthew.
The community center that we built is being used as a shelter right now and we are going to use the funds to help repair homes, build and rebuild homes.
Since 2003 Haiti Help Med Plus (HHMP) and its non-paid volunteers has made about 50 mission trips to Paillant, a small mountainous community 70 miles southwest of Port-au-Prince, Haiti that has been recently affected by hurricane Matthew So far we have built 21 homes (that stood up to Matthew) for very poor families, rendered medical and dental care to thousands of villagers in their remote communities, conducted seminars in agriculture. This past year we have increased the functionality of our vocational community center where young people learn cooking, sewing, English language and computer skills.
We need more funds now to build more houses ($3,200 each). So many lost a home, crops or a roof to hurricane Matthew. We will still continue our regular medical/dental trips (next one scheduked for January 2017). In other words we need to continue to IMPROVE LIVES. Your help is greatly appreciated and no amount is too small!
