Jn Fries STEM program goes to Space

Jn Fries Middle School's STEM program has an exciting opportunity this year called the Student Spaceflight Experiment Program.  With this program our 6th-8th graders will work with the National Center for Earth and Space Science Education to have our students write proposals for an experiment that would be great to do on the International Space Station.

Within this experience one group of our students will be guaranteed to have their experiment on the ISS. We are super excited to have our students participate in this authentic experience. It will be a great way to show them the importance of written communication, collaboration, and critical thinking.  We still need to raise $4,000 by the end of October 2016 in order for our students to participate. The money will be used for materials and travel costs for the experiment to be performed in microgravity.
