Rod's Medical & Memorial Fund
Donation protected
On Wednesday, September 21, 2016, my husband Rod Skidmore, watecolor artist specializing in the game of Polo and horse related sports, was diagnosed with stage 4 Pancretic Cancer. Many of his abdominal organs have been touched by the cancer.
This was found by accident on July 27, 2016 when we found out that he had type 2 diabetes. After six weeks of diabetic medications, and a complete change in diet a follow-up appointment with our family doctor found that he had abdominal pain. An ultra sound was ordered, found spots on the liver. Then the doctor suggested that a CT Scan with contrast was needed to really see what the problem was.
We are raising funds for medical bills and private nursing care, equipment, special foods. We are planning a funeral memorial and have been researching associated costs. Rod has been admitted to Hospice and will receive optimum care through our St. Lukes Hospice of Bethlehem, PA. The prognosis is 6 months from September 21, so donations of any amount would be a great help.
This financial help would go a long way. Eventhough Rod is very ill, it would bring him great comfort in knowing that some of these needs will be taken care of in some form. I am doing my best and of course it is not enough to cover all that is coming toward us.
Thank you for your help and generocity.
