Tiffany Laurens

On September 5 around 6:30 p.m.  Tiffany Laurens was attacked during her 37th birthday celebration at China Buffet in Kanawha City, WV.  The episode was quick and relentless.  We do not know the attackers motive; however, this horrific assault was in front of Tiffany's two children, ages 11 and 9.  Her fiancé' heard a terrifying scream and immediately knew Tiff was in trouble.  He rushed over to where Tiffany and the kids were and grabbed hold of the attacker and knocked her to the floor; regrettably, the assailant had already slashed Tiffany many times with a box cutter.  She has over 56 cm of stiches; unfortunately, many of them are on her face.  Her doctor, Paul Kloostra at General Hospital, said someone was watching out for her.  We know this did not take God by surprise.  The cuts were so close to the nerves on each side of her face and the slice on her neck was millimeters away from her trachea.  Even in all this, Tiffany is positive!  She is thankful to still be alive and praises God for that.  She is more thankful to God that none of the nerves were damaged and believes God will carry her through this.  With all this being said, she will now be facing piles of medical bills and unpaid sick leave since she is only a substitute teacher for Kanawha County Schools.  She is already trying to figure out how she can get back to work so that she can pay her bills and care for her children.  She wants to work immediately; however, she is afraid that the stiches will scare the students and doesn't want to do that to her kiddos.  
As Tiffany’s Pastor and brother in Christ, I am already going to praise God for the money that will be raised.  Tiffany and her family will have a lot of healing to do, especially since her children stood right there and watched this heinous act being done in from of them.  Prayers and financial gifts would be much appreciated.
