EVERY TWO MINUTES A WOMAN DIES GIVING BIRTH. PLEASE HELP SAVE MOMS, SISTERS AND DAUGHTERS.

We have a client here in Boulder who makes educational ultrasound software that runs on iPads. It helps people learn how to interpret unltrasound data to better diagnose health problems.

I suggested that our client (Dr. Cliff Gronseth) start a non-profit to which people could donate their old iPads. He could then install his software for free, and send the iPads out to parts of the world in need of better diagnostic tools. Outdated iPads that might otherwise end up in a landfill could help to save women's lives. Cliff ran with the idea and created The NYAGI Project.

The very first project is in Nepal, in late September. The NYAGI Project will be sending over six health professionals plus one photographer. Hey, do you know of any photographers? 

NYAGI is partnering with One Heart Worldwide. OHW trains nurses to become Skilled Birth Attendants (SBA’s) to help mothers and babies with pregnancy, delivery, and postpartum issues.
