To my fellow Cancer Haters: My friend Krista Kane recently has been diagnosed with Cancer. I'm reaching out on behalf of one of the bravest and strongest woman I know. My purpose is to help this beautiful lady get through the fight of her life! When cancer came knocking on her door, it didn't know what it was up against!!
Just one month ago, Krista Kane was given the dire news she has endometrial cancer. (The day before her birthday). By the end of July, she had undergone surgery to removed all of the aggressive cancer they could see. She is currently waiting for the doctors to meet and provide a treatment plan. Krista is expected to miss at least six weeks of work. Her employer doesn't provide short, or long term, disability so the pay checks have stopped, but the rent and utilities and need for groceries didn't stop. Not only that, she is a single mother and the sole provider for her and her sweet boys (Zack,11 and Alex, 12). The purpose of this Fund is to assist her on the financial battle front and to make sure she and her children have basic needs like rent, utilities and groceries and a $5,000 medical deductible met to put her mind at ease. She’s already going to be overwhelmed with the physical constraints of Cancer, so let’s help her get through this a little more stress free.
Cancer is an ugly beast, but with Krista's positive attitude and unrelenting strength, the battle is on! If a little bit of help can maintain that attitude and strength, then why not help be part of that Energy and encouragement for this single, sole providing mom! Together, let's rally around her and her boys and provide the resources they need to survive.
I urge you to be timely in your support. Her abrupt leave from work is as stressful as you can imagine. I appreciate your time and consideration!
