Help Katrina Kick Cancer

On July 5th Katrina Miller Novack went to the doctor for severe abdominal pain. After almost two weeks of appointments and tests they determined she has an early stage dysgerminoma on her right ovary. She is scheduled for an open abdominal salpingo-oophorectomy on August 9th.

All those big words mean she has ovarian cancer and they will have to cut through her abdominal muscles to remove it. Rather than thinking of it as a dysgerminoma, think of it as a tumor named Timmy. Timmy is an asshole. Breaking up with Timmy is going to be traumatic. Normal recovery time for that kind of surgery is 4-6 weeks.

Katrina is currently the sole provider for her household, and neither the state of Idaho nor her workplace offer short term disability. She needs help to cover both out-of-pocket medical expenses and basic living expenses during the times she is not able to work.
