photographer's gear stolen

hi! so-- my friend Kristian is the absolute sweetest & most talented girl. She's a full time freelance photographer & basically any photographer's worst nightmare just came true for her yesterday. She was visiting friends in Oregon and some of her bags were in her friend's car while they went on a hike. She knew it would be a quick hike & left everything in the car that she normally takes with her & locked the car. Everything was hidden in the trunk & couldn't be seen at all. She left for an hour & came back to see that the seats were folded down & the lock was punched out. Someone had come & taken absolutely everything. For the winter, the surveillance cameras in that parking area are down so there is no evidence of who took it all. Here is a list of everything that was taken:

ONA bag
50mm 1.2 lens
brand new gopro
sigma 35 art lens
all of her hard drives with irreplaceable photos
canon 24-70 2.8 L series lens
brand new macbook pro
16+ 16gb full camera cards
so many other personal belongings a friend's drone & many of his belongings
a film camera with undeveloped photos from trips abroad
tons of jewelry from travels abroad and personal family photographs memorabilia and presents she bought for friends, passport, car keys, journals

Kristian & friends spent 4 hours digging through a thorn patch trying to find items that they'd realized had been strewn out amongst the trails by the hiking area -- they founda few clothing items & a journal, personal items but nothing that was electronic.

of course this past week she was upgrading her insurance for her camera gear & hadn't sent in the form yet so she likely will not get any coverage on $12,000+ worth of gear.

this is really the worst case scenario for any photographer, just losing personal memorabilia & her entire portfolio of images. Kristian is a super organized, responsible individual & this isn't something she could have expected or anticipated.
